Finding the Oh! in Web 2.0

April 11th, 2007 by Mark Woodman

Many humble thanks to Randy Morin for ranking me at #3 in his Top Web 2.0 Bloggers. I admire (and read) most of the writers on his list. They’re a truly inspiring and interesting group of people.

Most of us, I think, write about this stuff because we love it. When I was a kid, discovering something new elicited the inevitable, “Oh! Cool!” I guess I’m still a big kid, because I have that reaction to something on the Net nearly every day. I’m just glad I get to share a little of it with you.

Toward that end, TechBrew.net is a multi-author site. If you’re a tech blogger who would like to post over here on occasion, or even make this your blogging home base, I’d love to hear from you.

I find it interesting that only one woman is on the list. I read a couple of women bloggers who write about the 2.0 (3.0, 4.0) world, but there aren’t a lot out there. Does this tech fail to capture the imagination of women in general, or is something else at work?

One on my favorite femme tech bloggers is Marjolein Hoekstra, who is not only smart and sweet, but has an amazing knack for connecting people. She’s like Yente the Matchmaker for geekdom.

Are there some great women tech bloggers you like to read?
