Before Google Reader slammed the competition, one of the promising Ajax-driven RSS Readers was NewsAlloy. It was my personal reader for quite awhile, but system stability issues ultimately drove me into the arms of Google.

Volodymyr Danylyuk, the creator of NewsAlloy has just announced that he is selling the service, but will keep the lights on as long as possible. He cites the stability problems as the main source of the sale. The infrastructure for a reliable service like this needs a lot of cash, and I had the impression it was essentially a one-man project. I would love to see his subscription numbers, storage stats, and so on.  Update: And here they are.
